Jetty at Tobruk TerminalReconditioning of Jetty at Tobruk Terminal Client : AGOCO Start Date : October 2006 Finish Date : April 2008 Key features of Work Scope: The Jetty was constructed in 1967 to accommodate 65.000 DWT tankers. It was re-designed and re-constructed in 1978 in order to accommodate larger size tankers (up to 150.000 DWT). The Jetty serves as loading berth for Tobruk Refinery of Arabian Gulf Oil Company. The scope of works included the reconstruction of following segments of the Jetty; - Shore Approach - Trunkway no:1 - Jetty Head no: 1 - 5 nos of Mooring Dolphins - 4 nos Breasting Dolphins Scope of the project was the reconditioning the structural and mechanical elements of the Jetty at Tobruk Terminal. The scope of works on each segment basically consisted of the following works; · Mooring Dolphins; · Breasting Dolphins; · Shore Approach and Trunkway; · Jetty Head 1; · Miscellaneous works on the Jetty such as; - Renewal of lighting system - Replacement of all fastening elements of steel structure - Renewal of cable trays and cable tray supports - Replacement of all gratings and handrails - Grit blasting and painting of all steel structures
