Key features of Work Scope:
This project was a gratuity from TML to the city of Misurata aiming contribution to the recovery efforts of Libyan government after the war.
Original building was a two storey building with its prime purpose being to traffic related administrative works. During the war, second floor of building was damaged extensively.
After the war, TML undertook reparing of the building as a support to recovery efforts after the war. However, the building was investigated by TML engineers and it was found out that damages in the building were beyond repairing and it was decided to demolish the building and construct a new one.
A new desigh approach was taken and architectural plans as well as structural, mechanical, electrical, designs were completed in order to commence the construction.
In this new design, buildings main structure was reinforced concrete, with stone facade in the front elevation and plaster and paint at the rest of the facades. New architectural facade brought a new identity to the building.
Overall building is 670 sqm in two different levels; ground floor being 410 sqm and first floor being 260 sqm.
